Arc Minnesota Range Region is sponsoring a free workshop on Waivered Services for persons with disabilities will be held at 5 pm on Thursday, January 21st at the Mt. Iron Community Center. Pizza and registration start at 4:30. Waivers can provide for home and community supports that lead to greater independence, choice and inclusion in the community for those who qualify. Presenters will be the Darin McClain, supervisor of the Developmental Disabilities and Child CADI unit and Carolyn Pohjonen, CADI Case manager from St. Louis County Health and Human Services will be the presenters. They will provide information what a waiver is, what it can and cant't do, how to get a waiver, and also alternatives to waivers.
